Angel always dreamed of becoming a writer. He enjoyed hearing the laughter of the children and adults when he shared his stories.  Although, he and the other people living in the “barrio,” as they called their home, lived hard lives, he liked to encourage everyone to be postivie.  He tried to bring out the best in everyone by encouraging them. He especially tried to do this for his three close friends, Carlos, Alejandro, and Emilio, who were great artistes; but always drew of hate, fear and saddness on murals they drew on the neighbor walls.  Although they thought no one cared, each one displayed in their murals the rough lives they lived and how it affected their hearts.  Then on day, with the help of Angel’s writing, all that changed and Angel was able to bring the people and barrio together again by bringing back faith, hope and love.
