John was 10 years old and happily lived with his grandfather and mother.  Although they are very poor, they have hopes and dreams of making something better with their lives.  One day, John’s grandfather gives him an beat up old piano as a gift.  After being bullied by his classmates, John’s grandfather tells him that someday things would change, and John’s music would touch everyone’s heart just as it touched his and John’s mother.
